Peter Forakis, an American sculptor, was born in September 22, 1927, Hanna, Wyoming
of parents of Greek extraction. He passed away November 27, 2009, inPetalumaCalifornia
where he spent the last several years of his life.
 
He served in the Merchant Marines, 1945-50 and subsequently served his Military Service in Korea and Japan, 1951-53.
 
He obtained his B.F.A. at the California School of Fine Arts (San Francisco Art Institute) 1957
